Terminal 4

Terminal 4

Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport

Project Summary

Terminal 4 is undergoing a major expansion and modernization. The project includes a new concourse, aircraft apron, automated baggage facility and U.S. Customs and Border Protection Inspection Facility. Passengers will have more destination options by increasing the number of gates from 10 to 14. International gates increase from five to 12. Contractors have completed both the western (Gates G9-G14) and eastern phases (Gates G1-G6) of Concourse G. The central phase includes demolition of the old Concourse H and construction of the new center portion of Concourse G (Gates G7-G8). This phased construction method was implemented to reduce disruptions to passengers and airlines. Flights still depart and arrive at the terminal during construction.

Key Features
Terminal 4 Concourse increased from 60,000 square feet to 490,000 square feet.

The new Concourse will have 12 gates for both international and domestic flights. There will be two gates for only domestic flights.
